Description
In the illustration for the 2017 poster, a grey heron (a wading bird native to the regional coastal waters of the Southeast) stands stationary in the marsh, representing Savannah as the host location for one of the most distinctive cross-genre music festivals in the world. The reflection of the bird is recognizable in the shape of a saxophone, and more subtly, the marsh grass reflection creates the graphic representation of a continuous sound wave that fills the local atmosphere with world-class music.
