Ticket Sales Representative (Seasonal, Part-Time)

Location: Savannah, GA (Remote, Savannah/GA region)
Duration: October 2024–April 2025, 20-hours week

Savannah Music Festival is seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team on a contracted, part-time basis from November 2024 to April 2025. Working approximately 20 hours per week, the sales representative will play a crucial role in promoting and selling tickets for the 2025 festival, ensuring its success and continued growth. The ideal candidate will live in the Savannah area, have a strong existing network, familiarity with non-profits, and a passion for music and the arts. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Generation: Identify and target potential customers to sell tickets for the Savannah Music Festival through various channels, including direct sales, phone calls, emails, and social media outreach.
  • Group Sales: Develop and implement strategies to sell group tickets to organizations, corporations, schools, and other groups, offering special packages and discounts to encourage bulk purchases.
  • Ad Sales and Corporate Sponsorship: Identify and secure advertising sales and corporate sponsorship opportunities when possible.
  • Network Utilization: Leverage existing network and build new relationships with key influencers, community leaders, and businesses to boost ticket sales and festival attendance.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, providing them with information about the festival, its lineup, and ticket options.
  • Promotion: Actively promote the festival’s events, artists, and special features to increase awareness and ticket sales.
  • Research: Conduct research to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Sales Reporting: Track and report on sales activities, progress, and results, providing regular updates to the Marketing Director.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement effective sales strategies and promotional campaigns.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the event or entertainment industry.
  • Strong existing network with connections to potential group buyers, sponsors, and community organizations.
  • Experience with group sales, bulk ticket sales, ad sales, and corporate sponsorships is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with non-profits.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong persuasive and negotiation abilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Familiarity with sales tracking tools.
  • Passion for music and the arts is a plus.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly rate.

Work Schedule:

  • Approximately 20 hours per week.
  • Flexible schedule with some evenings and weekends as needed to meet sales targets and attend events.
