Part of the new generation of contemporary folk musicians, Lena Jonsson is one of Scandinavia’s most influential fiddlers. Her unique style combines a deep knowledge of traditional Swedish folk music and the youthful sounds of rock, pop, jazz, American old-time and bluegrass. Lena Jonsson is joined by Kristofer Sundström and Ian Carr.
Kieran Kane and Rayna Gellert have collaborated on multiple acclaimed solo and duo projects since 2016. Kane’s songs have been performed and recorded by a who’s who of Americana artists, and Rayna Gellert’s solo work combines her love of rural stringband music with heartfelt gospel songs and old ballads. Sparse and skillful arrangements of guitar, fiddle and banjo accompany their rich vocal harmonies in a sound that embodies “an understated and unpretentious virtuosity” and “exudes a seductive magic” (No Depression).
