He had just turned 30 and was terribly ill, yet it was arguably his most prolific year, in which he wrote a wealth of heralded masterpieces. in this episode, we listen to two of Schubert’s works from 1827, including a 2010 performance of his great B-flat piano trio played by pianist Wu Han, violinist Philip Setzer, and cellist David Finckel.
