SMF Presents: SWING CENTRAL High School Jazz Band Competition and Workshop

After two successful years of producing a regional high school jazz band workshop, the Savannah Music Festival announces the first annual SWING CENTRAL High School Jazz Band Competition and Workshop in 2008. Along with three days of workshops with some of the nation's finest jazz educators, this year's program invites bands countrywide to Savannah for a chance to win up to $5000. Students will participate in clinics and performances, and will also have opportunities to see their clinicians collaborate with other renowned jazz musicians in 2008 Savannah Jazz Party concerts.
